With programmable controllers being more widely used, the need to know the effects of line harmonics on the timing, logic, and other functions of the microprocessor is quite important. A project to build a power harmonic generator and passive filters for the study of the effect of 3, 5, and 7 harmonics on microprocessor performance has been started.
